Fisher Fund
“Your happiness is in knowing that a tiny dime can warm the troubled and abashed souls”
The Fisher Fund is a registered, independent NPO, which is geared towards endorsing donations and provide grants to promote welfare, social and educational purposes and to assist various populations facing financial, social, personal, medical and mental hardships.
The Fund is named after Holocaust survivors Yosef, son of Shmuel Fisher, and Maly Fisher, daughter of Shaina Rebecca Schwartz, who established a new family tree and invested some fifty years of significant Zionist achievements.
The Fisher Fund has set itself a paramount goal of identifying areas of distress in Israeli society and to reach out to those individuals and groups who have been forgotten on the sidelines of society.
The Fund, founded by the Association of South Tel Aviv-Yafo Rotary Trustees (No. 580012144) was duly incorporated and has held proper management approval from the NPO Registrar for many years, and is certified to credit donations pursuant to Section 46A of the Income Tax Ordinance. The Fund/Association was established in the 1960s and has conducted dozens of projects for public benefit, the most recent of which was the establishment of a fund together with Afeka College for NIS 800,000 to assist students from outlying areas in Israel.
The founders of the Fisher Fund and members of its management have made it their mission to assist primarily in places that have not benefited from recognition by government aid entities or by various NPOs or other organizations, and to find those who are desperately in need of support, but are not necessarily classified as “welfare cases.” In addition, the Fund is working to establish a Holocaust memorial enterprise to assist the second generation of survivors.
If you identify with the Fund’s goals and its activities and are interested in assisting financially, the address for donations is:
Bank Igud (Union Bank), (13), Main Tel Aviv Branch 063, Account Number 59098/74.
A receipt in accordance with Section 46A of the Income Tax Ordinance will be sent to each donor by mail.
